Description
ASTM Type A durometers test the hardness of soft rubber, elastomers, waxes, printing rollers, neoprene, EPDM rubber, silicone, and polyurethane.
Type B durometers measure the hardness of skate wheels, printing plates, rubber, thermoplastics, and elastomers.
Type C durometers measure the hardness of textile windings, laminated wires, laminated films, medium-hard rubbers, and plastics.
Type D durometers measure the hardness of pipeline coatings, Plexiglas, epoxy, vinyl, cellulose acetate, and other similar materials.
Type DO durometers measure the hardness of fireproof coatings, cutting beams, Pyrocrete, and dense textile windings. Type O durometers measure the hardness of flexible printing rollers, nylon, rayon, orlon, non-abrasive eraser (Artgum), and textile windings.
