Calibration service

Calibration

Through calibration, we verify and, if necessary, adjust instruments to conform to the manufacturer’s specifications. A label is affixed to the instrument with the new calibration date and the next expiration date, and a calibration report is provided without data.

The calibration certificate includes a calibration with a report on the comparison data, and the previous measurements are written on the certificate.

All the calibration certificates we issue are referenced since our calibrations are certified and referenced to NIST or CNRC, as prescribed in our quality manual.

Our calibration laboratory operates in accordance with ISO 17025:2017. SCC Accredited Laboratory; NRC CLAS 2016-01 Certificate.

We are also able to calibrate your instruments IN THE FACTORY with the following specialties:

  • Calibration of thermometers or graphic recorders in cold rooms.
  • Calibration of industrial or sanitary pressure gauges from vacuum to 16,000 psig.
  • Calibration of pressure gauges and differential transmitters from 0 to 60 in. H2
  • Calibration of hygrometers or transmitters compared to a certified hygrometer.
  • Calibration of thermostats, temperature controllers with or without probe.
  • Calibration of temperature probes: Thermocouple, thermistor or RTD, from -20 to 600°C.

These solutions are referenced by experimental comparison and the values are published by NIST. They come with a certificate indicating their uncertainty.

DUE DATE

October 2026.

By default, all portable gas detectors will now be calibrated with a 6-month validity period.
This change is intended to align with best practices in occupational health and safety, as well as the requirements typically associated with the use of gas detectors in work environments where worker safety depends on the reliability of measurements. The CNESST requires employers to implement the necessary measures to ensure the reliability of equipment used to prevent the risk of exposure to hazardous gases. Because gas detection is a critical safety component, periodic calibration is essential to ensure accurate readings and the proper functioning of alarms. [cnesst.gouv.qc.ca]

Exception – 12-Month Interval

If a client explicitly requests a 12-month interval, we may apply it only if the client submits a written request and formally agrees to it.

In such cases:

  • The client must sign the quote or the service form.
  • The signature must confirm that the 12-month interval was requested by the client.
  • This documentation must be kept on file.

This does not apply to gas detectors used for air quality monitoring.
