Description
PIE is pleased to introduce the new 525B model, which replaces the PIE 525. Our thermocouple and RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) calibrator now comes in the "PIE Evolution" housing, featuring a protective rubber boot, a built-in tilt stand, 4 AA batteries, and a backlit display. In addition to this new enclosure, we have made several other product enhancements!
- Calibrate thermocouple instruments with a resolution of 0.1 and 0.01 °F or °C
Types J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, G, C, D, L (J DIN), U (T DIN), and P (Platinel): from -13.000 to 80.000 mV - Calibrate RTD instruments with a resolution of 0.1 and 0.01 °F or °C
Pt 10, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 ohms (3850)
Pt 100 ohms (alpha = 3902, 3916, 3926)
Cu 10 and 50 ohms, and Ni 120 ohms - Calibrate with confidence
Resolution down to 0.01 °F or °C; 0.2° precision
Cold-junction compensation with an accuracy of 0.05°C - Verify recorders used for Heat Treating Uniformity Surveys and perform System Accuracy Tests
The PIE 525B can meet the requirements for Field Test Instruments under the AMS 2750 standard, when certified by an accredited laboratory. - Diagnose RTD probes and instruments
Automatic detection of 2-, 3-, or 4-wire connections allows for the identification of disconnected wires (open circuit). Verify proper instrument operation by measuring the excitation current. Faster calibrations - Instantly select three outputs using the EZ-CHECK switch
Easily determine trip thresholds (setpoints) using the two-speed EZ-DIAL knob and the Automatic Stepping function - Easily change thermocouple (T/C) and RTD types, as well as measurement ranges
Double-click to select the thermocouple or RTD type, as well as the unit (°F or °C) - Suitable for use in the plant, in the field, or in the workshop
Supplied with a protective rubber boot and test leads for mV measurements
Low-profile switches designed to resist accidental damage
Brass screw terminals for thermocouple wires, supplemented by a mini-thermocouple jack - Easy-to-read display
Activate the backlight for clear viewing in dimly lit areas of the facility - Simple, tool-free battery replacement
Operates on four economical "AA" batteries - Verification of resistance, cold-junction temperature, and output
Secondary display shows resistance (for RTDs), or the compensated millivolt value and cold-junction temperature (for thermocouples) - Optional accessories
Thermocouple wires and mini-jacks: J, T, E, K (020-0202); B, R/S, K (020-0203)
Supplied with
- Automated calibration source for RTD probes and thermocouples.
- Includes a protective rubber boot, a carrying case for "hands-free" operation, test leads, and a NIST certificate.
