Description
Key Features
- Work Safely: Measure voltage up to 1000 V AC with the jaw open, without a test lead.
- Be Faster: No need to open covers or remove cable nuts.
- Be More Efficient: Measure voltage and current simultaneously.
- Be Anywhere: The jaw, with its 17.8 mm opening, is the widest on the market. It can measure up to 200 A on 120 mm2).
Fluke T6 is the perfect “all-in-one” tool for troubleshooting, maintenance and service.
Troubleshooting electrical systems can be time-consuming and dangerous because it requires access to metallic contact points.
The latest Fluke T6 Electrical Testers provide reliable true-rms measurements in crowded junction boxes or along conductors with inaccessible ends, saving time, minimizing potential errors, and significantly reducing the possibility of arcing. The rugged testers are rated for 1000 V CAT III and 600 V CAT IV, and feature a large, easy-to-read backlit display.
FieldSense Technology
With Fluke’s FieldSense Technology, you can now take measurements quickly and easily by passing the open jaw around a conductor to display the voltage level without the need for a test lead*.
* Voltage measurement requires a capacitive path to ground that is provided by the user in most applications. A ground connection using a test lead may be required in some cases.
How to Use Your New Fluke T6
Learn how to use your new T6 with revolutionary “FieldSense” technology and get the most out of your tester. Here are some tips to keep in mind when using it. Measure voltage and current at the same time.
How does FieldSense technology work?
It measures a voltage signal referenced to ground via a capacitive sensor in the user’s hand without any electrical contact or galvanic connection and is completely isolated!
The tester sensor must be located close to the signal being measured on a live conductor. In this case, the user’s hand and body provide a connection to ground. Both the electric field (voltage) and the magnetic field (current) are detected. If there is no ground connection, a ground symbol appears on the T6 display.
In some cases, test leads will need to be used: When the human hand or body is isolated from earth (e.g., with safety gloves) or if the human body has no earth reference (e.g., upper floors in wooden houses), the earth reference must be provided by connecting the black test lead (COM) to earth.
