Surface Thermocouple Temperature Probe with Adhesive

ST-50 Series

Surface K-type thermocouple temperature probe with adhesive.
Ideal for measuring the temperature of a small object by sticking it on its surface.
Ideal for inserting between two contacting surfaces with the exposed tip type.

Description

Main Features

Film Type Temperature Sensors

  • 0.34mm glass fiber non-woven film or 0.13mm polyimide (PI) film available. Ideal for measuring the temperature of small objects.

This is a K-type thermocouple

  • With the dedicated cable with a connector (W-ST-50A), the sensor can be connected to the instrument input terminal configured for K-type thermocouple input.
  • A wide selection of cable end types is provided. For example, a Y crimp terminal or a TC connector.

Excellent response

  • Since the thermal capacity of the sensor itself is very small, the temperature can be measured quickly.
  • This makes the sensor suitable for collecting temperature profiles.

Just stick it on the object

  • This sensor can be stuck on a narrow space or a small object for easy temperature measurement.
    ・Non-woven glass cloth type (standard)
・Polyimide resin type (for clean room use)

Easy temperature measurement with a cable clamp

  • Bare end type sensors (ST-50B / ST-51B / ST-51SB) are offered for temperature measurement of small objects.

We can offer the following sensors with extended length

  • The ST-51/ST-51B (polyimide type) and ST-50/ST-50B (glass cloth type) can be manufactured in a length of 500 mm.
*ST-50/ST-50B are also available in 300 mm length.

Insulated type

  • The insulated type probe (ST-51SC) prevents the thermocouple wires from coming into direct contact with the target and measures the temperature correctly.
*Heat-resistant adhesive tapes or similar products are recommended for sticking the sensor to the target.

Measures a maximum temperature of 300 °C

  • Using a silicone adhesive allows adhesion to almost all objects, except for some difficult-to-stick items.
    No siloxane is generated.
    Up to 150 °C:
Repeated use by sticking/removing the sensor is possible.
    Up to 200°C:
Repeated use is possible provided the temperature is not lowered below 150°C.
    Up to 250°C:
Repeated use is possible provided the temperature is not lowered below 200°C.
    Above 250°C:
    Re-adhesion is not possible.

※The number of repeated uses depends on the operating environment
